To provide and improve MindRise, we collect specific types of information based on your use of the App:

• Account Information: If you choose to create an account (such as through Google Sign-In), we receive the information necessary to authenticate and manage your account, typically including your name and email address.
• User-Generated Content: Information you input into the App, including your habits, focus session durations, daily plans, journal entries, mood selections, and streaks.
• Device Information: We may collect non-identifying device-specific information such as your operating system and device model to ensure the App functions correctly.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To ensure a fast and responsive experience, MindRise utilizes local device storage. Much of your progress, active focus sessions, habits, and daily plans are saved locally on your device to allow the App to function properly.

4. Account Information & Authentication

You may choose to authenticate using third-party providers such as Google Sign-In. When you use this service, authentication is processed through the provider, and we only receive the necessary tokens and profile data required to securely create and maintain your MindRise account. We do not receive access to any data beyond what is requested for authentication.

5. Cloud Synchronization

If you create an account and enable cloud synchronization, certain user-generated data will be securely synced to our cloud database provider (Supabase). This allows your habits, streaks, and journals to be backed up and synchronized across multiple devices. If cloud sync is not utilized, your data remains solely on your local device.

6. User-Generated Content

Your habits, plans, and journals are your own. We process this information solely to provide the services within the App (such as tracking streaks and displaying insights). We do not sell or share this data with unauthorized third parties.

7. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and support the functionality of the App.
• To securely sync your data across devices when an account is active.
• To manage and authenticate your account.
• To process transactions for Premium subscriptions.
• To send you push notifications related to your habits and focus sessions (if you grant permission).

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions are purchased directly through the applicable app store (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store). We do not collect or store your credit card information. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription statuses, validate receipts, and grant access to Premium features. RevenueCat processes transaction IDs and purchase history to provide this service.

9. Third-Party Services

We utilize specific third-party services to power core functionalities of the App. These services are bound by their own privacy policies:

• Google Sign-In: For secure account authentication.
• Supabase: For database hosting and secure cloud synchronization.
• RevenueCat: For managing and validating app store subscriptions.
• Google Play Billing & Apple App Store: For processing secure payments.

10. Notifications and Device Permissions

We use local device notifications to remind you of your habits, daily plans, and focus sessions. You can enable or disable these permissions at any time through your device settings.

11. Audio and Media Features

MindRise includes audio playback features (such as meditation tracks). Your use of these features does not involve the collection of any biometric data or voice recordings. The audio processing is handled locally to provide the listening experience.

12. Data Storage and Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized disclosure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Data Retention

We retain your account and synced data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your profile information and synced data will be removed from our active databases. We may retain certain information when legally required for accounting, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes. Local data on your device will remain until you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage.

14. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. You can exercise these rights through the settings in the App or by contacting us.

15. Account and Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data. You can delete your account directly within the App's settings or by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page.

16. Children's Privacy

MindRise is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take steps to remove such information.

17. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to—and maintained on—computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By using the App and consenting to this Privacy Policy, you agree to that transfer.
